Winter 2008 – 2009

Update on Brett’s Health

It’s the holidays and the last thing I want to do is give you a bad health update, so I will make this brief. The not so great news: The changes are small. The pain is the same. Without pain medicine, on a scale from 1-10 the pain is a 7-9. With the pain medicine it is a 3-5. Dizziness is the same. I am still having a great deal of difficulty in crowds of people when over-stimulated. I am still really struggling. Nausea has been a little better lately. I am seeing a specialist three times a week.

The Great News: I have been putting a great deal of focus on mentoring and discipling individuals, married couples, youth pastors, ministers and their wives. This has been going very well. If I can be used to impact these individuals and couples lives in a positive way during this season of my life, then it has all been worth it. God’s given me a bigger vision to have an impact on teens by ministering to their leaders. Not to mention God is growing my prayer life and adding something to my life that has never been there with any kind of depth- Compassion. I am hoping to get back to traveling and speaking in the late winter/early spring, but for now I am putting all my focus on mentoring and discipleship, writing and studying. Thank you for all of your love and support for our family.

Merry Christmas and God bless you.
